Special Guest

What a special surprise we had today!! We were in the middle of watching Santa Claus is Coming to Town and you'll never guess who came into our classroom... SANTA!!! He talked and passed out candy canes to the class! You all have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR! I am going to miss my babies these two weeks but we all need to rest up for next semester. We are almost 1st graders!!

Christmas Party!!!

Christmas party today was a BLAST! The class had a ball playing bingo, decorating cookies, and playing pin the nose on Rodolph. They were so cute because some of them had never played bingo before and they loved it. Thank you for all of your help with the gifts and pizza. We were overloaded with pizza, so much that we will be eating it for lunch tomorrow! For those of you who weren't able to come party with us enjoy the pictures!

Vocabulary Parade

They looked so cute for the vocabulary parade we had in October. Thank you for putting in time to help make their costumes, they were very creative and some really out of the box.

When Will It Sink?

Each student had to predict how many bears would fit into their boat that they made out of a piece of foil. Our predictions ranged from 1 to 28, most of the class said 10. After their predictions they go to test to find out the real answer and man were we in shock when everyone began testing their boats because their predictions were no where close to their outcome. The lowest number of bears that we had was 60 and our highest was 163!! They were so excited!

Pep Rally Pictures

I am so sorry for just now posting these pictures but it has been crazy here lately! The pep rally was a blast and our boys looked so cute with those big jerseys on! They were ready with their war paint on all day Friday. Even the girls wore it, you could probably tell when  they got home with the black smeared all around their faces!

Report Cards/Conferences

Parents,
Report cards went home yesterday. If you did not sign your child's report card please do and send them back on Monday!
Also Parent/Teacher conferences start next week! Thank you to those who have signed up already, remember we have to meet at least once a semester to talk about your child's progress. Looking forward to meeting with you. If you haven't signed up for a time yet please have those into me by Tuesday!

PEP RALLY

WE WILL BE ATTENDING THE TATUM HOMECOMING PEP RALLY TOMORROW! SO I AM ASKING THAT PARENTS LEAVE THEIR CHILD'S BACKPACK & LUNCH KITS AT HOME TOMORROW! THE ONLY THING THEY NEED TO BRING TO SCHOOL TOMORROW IS THEMSELVES AND THEIR PEP RALLY FORM IF I HAVEN'T RECIEVED IT ALREADY!
REMEMBER EVERYONE WEAR THEIR GREEN AND WHITE! OUR BOYS WILL BE THE LUCKY ONES WITH THE FOOTBALL PLAYERS JERSEY ON!

A is for APPLESAUCE

We have been focusing on the letters M and A. Last Friday we made strawberry applesauce after reading Apple Anne. The kids loved it and thought it was good, even the ones that said they hated applesauce loved it. Thank you to all the parents that sent items with their child to make it happen! When they are having fun while learning just makes my job worth while.  Enjoy

Calling All Dads & Father Figures

Dads don't forget this Tuesday at 6:00 is our Watch Dog Pizza Night kick off! Come for pizza, information, door prizes, and most of all spending time with your precious little one!

BOX TOPS

Parents remember to save all of your box tops! Kindergarten is collecting them to raise money for our grade level. Your child may bring their collector sheet to me every time they add another one for a small treat. Our goal is to collect at least two a week. They are on almost everything (cereal, Ziploc bags, fruit snacks, etc) so just cut them off tape/glue them! Every box top is worth at least 10 cents.
